Haridwar’s Maa Gayatri Offset invests in Jetsci Colornovo

Maa Gayatri Offset Printer, a sister concern of the Hindustan Offset, Haridwar, has invested in a Jetsci Colornovo UV inkjet label press manufactured by Monotech Systems.

Gulshan and Pradeep Bhatia of the Hindustan Offset Printers, said due to the economic slowdown, it was the best time to invest in digital label printing.

“We did extensive sampling and evaluation on digital machines before zeroing on the Colornovo,” the Bhatias said. The machine is a right fit for our production environment as it is excellently configured. Now, we can finish the job in minimum time due to high-end configuration and inline features. Flexibility to use any standard flexo media with UV inkjet is a great advantage, as due to Covid-19 situation and other factors, there is a huge surge in demand of short, medium-runs as well as quick turnaround time.”

The press is equipped with CMYK+ W UV inkjet having inter colour LED pinning, chill drum UV curing, corona, web cleaner, spot registered flexo, cold foil/lamination, 27-inches semi/full rotary die-cut, slitting and dual rewind, advanced colour management and RIP solution for fast ripping, as well as quick, accurate colour matching and reproduction. It can print and deliver ready to dispatch label roll at high speeds of 50-m/min and best quality output at 600×600-dpi.

“We can see a surge in the demand for short runs and quick turnarounds in label printing, and digital is the best way to cater to those demands economically and effectively,” Jimit Mittal, president, Jetsci Global, said.

He added that Colornovo is the best fit to most label printers.

Recently, Jetsci Global launched different models and configurations for digital UV inkjet label printing and have the best upgrade on-field features enabling label printers to choose their start point in digital and can upgrade easily on the field to any higher configuration.
